JADE ELLEN'S JOURNEY
Hello everyone, as you know and love me my name is Jade Ellen Sparacello, I am currently 1 year old. How I came to be, my Mommie meet my Daddy through a mutual friend Amy Weber on November 17, 2005. Mommie thought my Dad was about 30, my Dad thought my Mom was 35, boy were they both wrong anyway for those of you whom don't know there is a 20 year age difference between them. They meet, feel in love, got married and believe it or not they decided to have a baby and I was the lucky one choosen. On May 24th 2007 at Tulane/Lakeside hospital I was born at 8:05 a.m. This was one of the happiest day's of my parent life. I had about 35 visitors that day they included family, friends, and very close friends. All went well, later that night my mom noticed my eyes and she asked, Jade is there something you are not telling Mommie and Daddy. What my Mom ment was the shape of my eyes I had little almond shaped eyes. Earlier that day without saying anything my Daddy had noticed a little tongue thrusting. The next day all went well, then in the evening my Dr. Morgan came in and told my parents she had spent a while with me in the nursery and all was well except that she had one concern. The concern was that I had Trisomy 21, better known as Down Syndrome so immediatley blood was drawn to do a genetic testing which came back just as Dr. Morgan had expected. My Mom asked if they could do a 12 lead ekg on my heart which they did and it was determined that I have a complete AV canal and I only have one valve along with Tetrology of Fallot so one day and no one knows when I will be undergoing open heart surgery at Children's Hospital in New Orleans, without the surgery I will eventually die. Have no fear because I am not going anywhere I am doing well and hope to continue to grow so I will be strong enough for my surgery whenever I have to have it. I have created this page so my parent can keep everyone posted on my journey. Please, Please keep us, especially me in your prayers. Love Jade Ellen Sparacello
