POST OP DAY 7

Hello everyone more good news to share. Today Monday the 29th, Dr. Caspi took out my A line took me off a couple more meds, I only have my IV and my central line in. My meds except my anceft is all orally I am able to take 4oz. of 20 calorie pediasure every 3 hours. Although today was pretty rough for me it is noisy in the unit and I am a light sleeper anyway so every time I go to sleep something wakes me in about 10 minutes of me falling to sleep, then they took my A line out and had to hold pressure so that made me upset and now my little leg is sore. Hopefully according to Dr. Caspi I should be going to a room out of the unit on Tuesday the 30th.
We will keep everyone posted.

This is my Rhea-Rhea I love her so very, very, much she is soooooooooo awesome she takes care of me when Mommy and Daddy has something that they have to do. She has been helping my Mommy with me at the hospital at night (cause she is a night owl) lol, cause my Daddy is in the police academy and he is running himself ragged with going to the academy, coming to see me, studying, and everything else Daddies have to do daily. Me, my mommy and my daddy couldn't do it without her and we love her very much. I wish everyone had a Rhea-Rhea!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my occupational therapist Ms. Debbie, I go see her once a week and she helps me learn how to do all kinds of stuff. She is also my mommy and Daddy's friend along with her husband Mr. Thomas. Oh hi Mr. Thomas can you see me waving?

POST OP DAY 6

Hello it is post op day 6 by the end of the day Dr. Petite removed my oxygen, stopped the versed, took my pacer off because my heart was beating in the proper rhythm, and I got to start eating. Ms. Janice came to see me today and she came with us Monday and Tuesday and stood by me and my family during my surgery. Ms. Janice is like our family, my Mommy wanted to take a picture of me and Ms. Janice but i got a little unhappy and we forgot. Look for her soon cause she will be back to visit and we will get a picture then. Thanks to my Rhea-Rhea who has been helping my mommy out with me so my Daddy can participate in the St. Charles Parish police academy, we couldn't do it without her.

Hello everyone, got some great news. Jade was extubated this morning she will be slowly be taken off her oxygen as she progresses, she is doing great. We will be in PICU probably about 2 more days due to her heart rythm being off due to the type surgery she had. Again thank everyone for your thoughts, phone calls, and most of all prayers.

It is update time, this morning 09/26/08 Ms. Jade had her 2nd chest tube removed and is being taken off some of her sedation meds and at 9:30 am is beginning to move her precious little toes. Will probably try to extubate tomorrow. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JADE'S POST OP DAY 1

Hello everyone, David, Jade, myself, Amanda, Bridget, and all of our loving family members thank you for your prayers, phone calls, comforting words of encouragement, and most of all your friendships. I want to give everyone an update on Jadie Mae, as most of you know her surgery was yesterday, it took 5 long hours from incision to skin. There were no surprises, everything she was diagnosed with was correct so the repair was made. Jade was brought to PICU, she had a good night last night and a good day today. Tomorrow morning the surgeons will began taking her off the sedation meds and see if she can be extubated. Keep your fingers and toes crossed! Sorry I am not posting new pics. I forgot the camera at the hospital. So far our experience at Children's has been a pleasant one. Our new edition to the family Ms. Miffy Arbunkle Sparacello has been by Jade's side every since she has been in PI. I will update everyone on the extubation. Thanks a million to all our friends love you!!!!!!!!!

JUST TO UPDATE EVERYONE, MY SURGERY WAS CANCELED DUE TO A SICK BABY THEY FLEW IN FROM MONROE THAT NEEDED SURGERY RIGHT AWAY. I AM RESCHEDULED FOR TOMMORROW MORNING AT 7:15 ONCE AGAIN.

children's hosp 9/19/08 ms. maryland doing an echo cardiogram on me. I was given a lagniappe dose of chlorhydrate for sedation and guess what it did'nt work. Yeap I was awake moving more than I should have so it took a little longer.
